(Updated 8/15/2023) Description of Sac Open Studios 2019 – the 14th Annual Sacramento Open Studios Tour featuring over 250 artists.
It’s September 2nd – time to pick up your Sac Open Studios 2019 Guide for the Sacramento region’s largest open studios tour. The event will take place over two weekends – September 14-15 and September 21-22.
I always like to thumb through the annual guide and determine in advance those studios I intend to stop by. Over 250 artists are participating again this year!
If you can’t locate a Sac Open Studios 2019 Guide, you can find a digital version online at the Verge Center for the Arts. I picked up my print version at my local grocery store.
What is Sac Open Studios?
If you are not familiar with Sac Open Studios, it is a free, self-guided art studios tour. Free, that is, if you can resist purchasing a work of art for your home or office.
Types of art exhibited over the two weekends include: sculpture, painting, ceramics, drawing, glass, mixed media, watercolor, multimedia, textiles, printmaking, jewelry, wood, photography, paper and mosaics. Something for everyone!
There will also be a variety of demonstrations and activities offered by select participating artists. Check out what artists are offering demonstrations or kids and family art activities in the artists listing.
Thanks once again Verge Center for the Arts!
