Original Post
Description and review of Happy Hour at the 33rd Street Bistro. The restaurant is located at the corner of 33rd Street and Folsom Blvd in East Sacramento.
Two friends and I recently enjoyed a weekday Happy Hour at the 33rd Street Bistro. They have both a good choice of Happy Hour “bites” and reasonably priced drinks.
The 33rd Street Bistro Happy Hour is from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – seven days a week. We arrived at 5:00 p.m., and while we would have liked to sit outside on the patio as it was a beautiful day Happy Hour prices are limited to bar and high-top table seating. As luck would have it we secured the last open high-top table.

33rd Street Bistro Happy Hour:
- $5 well drinks, select tap beers and house wine
- $2 off all other wines by the glass
- Specialty Drinks
Two of us ordered wine and the third a beer. After looking over the Happy Hour menu we ordered the Crab and Artichoke Dip ($8). It was really tasty – and we ate every bite.

By 5:30 p.m. the dinner crowd was trickling in, and it was getting busy. Our server checked in with us to let us know that we still had time if we wanted to order another round or something else from the Happy Hour menu. My friends chose the Thin Crispy Onion Rings (with house made ketchup) ($7). I don’t usually eat onion rings, but I did find myself reaching for more as we chatted.
I plan to return for Happy Hour again in the near future.

(4/16/2022) The 33rd Street Bistro will soon be serving some of its patrons’ favorite dishes via a food truck! Announcements as to where and when said food truck will be located at any given time will be announced via its Instagram bistro33onthego page.
(3/6/2020) The 33rd Street Bistro will be closing its doors on March 8, 2020, according to the Sacramento Bee. It was reported that the new owner of the building has declined to renew the restaurant lease.
This is a bitter blow to the Haines Brothers who have been planning a 25th Anniversary party for the restaurant later this year on November 14.
The good news, per the Sacramento Bee, is that the Haines Brothers would like to open another restaurant in East Sacramento in time for said anniversary! Stay tuned.
