Original Blog Post
After finishing lunch recently at Iron Horse Tavern, two friends and I set out to explore the R Street Corridor – and in particular to see the progress of the artists creating murals during Wide Open Walls. Wide Open Walls is Sacramento’s annual mural festival.
Shortly after leaving Iron Horse Tavern I spotted Creamy’s tiny kiosk on R Street across from the Warehouse Artists’ Lofts (WAL) Public Market. I had read about Creamy’s and the new “storefront” – and there it was! I had not previously had an opportunity to sample Creamy’s wares and this was my chance.

Cayla Jordan (aka the Cheesecake Queen) is a local gal who went to school in Elk Grove – and still lives there. The business was run mostly as a mail-order business until the addition of the kiosk. Only open a few days at first to allow patrons to pick up their orders, the kiosk is now open seven days a week.

After spotting the Creamy’s kiosk I headed over to check it out and to see if I could purchase a mini-cheesecake to sample. I was delighted to find out that I could! I then had to decide what kind of cheesecake – and decided to try the Caramel Pecan Cheesecake ($3.25).
When I received my cheesecake it was cold and encased in a tiny clear plastic box – so it was easy to carry and take home with me as I had just had lunch. Later that day when I had a bit more of an appetite I found it to be two bites of creamy, rich goodness.
To Sum Up
To sum up, I am going to keep Creamy’s in mind next time I volunteer to bring dessert for a small dinner party. Sometimes that is all you want – just a taste of decadence.
Updates
(2/12/2023) Creamy’s has moved to the other side of R Street and now has a cute brick and mortar shop in the Ice Blocks (next to Mendocino Farms). A second shop is located in Roseville.
Popular items include: cheesecake bites, cookies, and frozen cheesecake sandwiches.
See Snapshot below for specific details.

I heard her kiosk referred to as a “tiny shop” (like tiny homes). Love that term!
It certainly tiny!
