For the second year in a row the International Food Bloggers Conference is being held in Sacramento. From all accounts, the 2016 International Food Bloggers Conference was a big hit with attendees.
This year the International Food Bloggers Conference will take place Thursday, September 29 through Sunday, August 1st at the Sacramento Convention Center.
I was not aware, until it was too late, that the conference was being held here in Sacramento last year – so I decided to take advantage of its return and registered to attend.
While I do not blog solely about food – I have to admit that I do blog about my “point-in-time” dining experiences in and around Sacramento quite often. Often enough that after being teased by my daughter more than once, I have dropped “part of an occasional series” from the title of my blog posts dealing with descriptions and reviews of local dining establishments.

Welcome to Sacramento, International Food Bloggers Conference attendees!
As a Sacramento-based blogger I thought it would be appropriate to welcome you to Sacramento, and to share with you my descriptions and reviews of the Sacramento dining and bar scene.
There are numerous restaurants and bars in Downtown and Midtown Sacramento, as well as Old Sacramento, if you choose to walk from your hotel to a nearby restaurant and/or bar for sustenance. If you decide to venture a bit farther out Lyft and Uber are always an option.

The core of Sacramento is set up on a grid of lettered and numbered streets so it is not difficult to find your way around.
Keep in mind that there are numerous restaurants in Sacramento – and the fact that I may not have blogged about a particular restaurant to date is meaningless. I started blogging in June 2016 after retiring, and while I have written numerous descriptions and reviews of local restaurants and bars I have only scratched the surface so far.
I specifically mention “point-in-time” because the particular experience described could be an exception – and not the rule. So my descriptions and reviews can be considered a guide – your experience may not be the same (good, bad or so-so).
I blog about Sacramento restaurants in between posts about public art, the art and entertainment scene, live theatre, attractions and landmarks, history, and about Sacramento generally.

For those of you not familiar with Sacramento, I hope that you will find SacramentoRevealed.com (All Things Sacramento – from a personal perspective), useful during your visit.
