(Updated 12/28/2021) Description and review of Husick’s Taphouse, a Sacramento River Delta roadhouse serving BBQ, craft beer and local wines in Clarksburg, CA.
Husick’s Taphouse was our third stop on the SacTown Bites Taste of the Delta Tour. First, we started the tour at Greene & Hemly, a grower/packer/shipper of pears and apples. After that, we visited Hemly Cider, an outdoor taproom and cider production facility.

As we left Hemly Cider and Courtland my friend and I were both hungry and ready for lunch. We headed over to Husick’s Taphouse in Clarksburg to meet up with the rest of our small tour group.
Husick’s Taphouse
The 100+ year-old building that houses Husick’s Taphouse has been many things over the years – including the town post office and a General Store. Husick’s Taphouse opened in 2013.
Husick’s Taphouse can best be described as rustic with loads of country charm. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, and the staff were all smiling and friendly.
Menu
Husick’s Taphouse has a good-sized menu. There are “small bites” offerings, two salads, a large variety of sandwiches and BBQ plates, as well as soup and sides. Vegetarians will be happy to know that they are not left out in the cold. There are a variety of vegetarian menu options available.
During lunch we learned that they also make their own pickles, mustard sauce and Habanero sauce. The beverage menu offers a rotating list of craft beers, and the wines offered are local.
Heather, owner of SacTown Bites, had preordered our lunch. We were offered the opportunity to choose our beverage.
Review
It was not long after we were seated that lunch was delivered to our table. Lunch consisted of Tri-Tip Sliders (Tri-Tip served on Hawaiian Sweet Rolls with house-made mustard sauce), Sac Delta Slaw, and Maple Bacon Cornbread Pudding (house-made cornbread and maple syrup baked bacon, drizzled with honey bourbon caramel sauce).
I enjoyed the Tri-Tip sliders and the very tasty mustard sauce. Some of my companions also tried the Habanero sauce which was said to be very good. The Sac Delta Slaw was only so-so. I admit that I am picky when it come to coleslaw. The Maple Bacon Cornbread Pudding was delicious! The portion was small and just right – a few bites was all I wanted.
To Sum Up
To sum up, after an enjoyable lunch chatting with other members of our small group we made our way to our last stop on the tour – Silt Wine Company.
