Description of the recent Bliss Parking Lot Sale at the Midtown Sacramento Bliss Home Décor & Gifts location.
The Midtown Bliss Home Décor & Gifts warehouse opened in March 2020 – and then the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Needless to say, my inaugural visit was my last – until now.
I had noted previously that Bliss Marketplace in Rancho Cordova and Bliss Home Décor & Gifts in Midtown Sacramento periodically held parking lot sales, weather permitting. This past weekend I decided to stop by the Midtown location parking lot sale (10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and check it out.

Bliss Parking Lot Sale
I arrived around 10:30 a.m. and had no problem finding street parking in the vicinity. Bliss is around the corner from the Sacramento Food Bank, and across the street from the Sacramento Food Co-Op.
The State COVID-19 rules will be eased come Tuesday, June 15, for individuals who are vaccinated, and I am starting to feel a bit more comfortable getting out and about.
As I approached the entry I put on my mask. The entry to the Bliss parking lot was manned, and I was greeted and welcomed. Later I noticed patrons with their “treasures” handing over slips of paper (proof of purchase) as they left the premises.
First, I made my way around the booths set up around the parking lot, looking over the wide variety of vintage merchandize. Checking out the price tags of several items I found most to be reasonably priced.
Afterwards, having made the rounds of the parking lot, I entered the large warehouse. I make my way up and down each aisle. While I saw many interesting items, I did not run across anything I could not resist buying. It always helps to have a goal, and that day I was on the lookout for garden décor.
Both outdoors at the Bliss Parking Lot Sale, and subsequently indoors at the Bliss warehouse, I noticed that a good one-third of patrons were not wearing masks. Not knowing whether the unmasked were among the vaccinated, I felt very comfortable wearing mine.
