Description of The Kitchen Table, a cute kitchen boutique located on 33rd Street off of Folsom Boulevard in East Sacramento.
A friend and I recently stopped by The Kitchen Table after enjoying brunch at the 33rd Street Bistro. I had first noticed The Kitchen Table in January, but this was my first visit. I later learned that The Kitchen Table had opened in November, 2017.
The Kitchen Table is located in a former home that has housed a variety of businesses over time, most recently a shoe store. My friend immediately recognized the building as she had a friend who had lived there a long-long time ago.
Susan, the shop owner, welcomed us by offering us a small glass of Prosecco which we sipped as we slowly made our way around the shop. The small, cheerful shop carries a wide variety of goods including vintage inspired kitchenware and cookware.
It was obvious that the shop inventory had been carefully curated. Each of us pointed out to the other various items that caught our eye.

Before we left we both made a purchase. My friend was delighted to discover a Musical Flower Birthday Candle – so much so that she purchased two. A microplane zester-grater caught my eye and I have to admit that I bought it for myself. It is important to support small local businesses, and since I have found myself in need of that particular item more than once you could call it a win-win.
The Kitchen Table is now on my list of favorite places to visit when I am in search of a gift or gifts for a special occasion.
I should also note that The Kitchen Table carries a number of locally produced products – including olive oils and vinegar from the Capay Valley Ranch, honey from Winters, soda syrups from Burley Beverages, and Bloody Mary Mix from Preservation and Company.
Looking over the shops website later that day I noticed that Susan and The Kitchen Table had been a finalist in the 2017 Downtown Sacramento Partnership Calling All Dreamers competition. While Susan did not win the 2017 competition, she followed her dream.
