(Last UPDATED 8/12/2021) The Tower Bridge Dinner To Go, first held in 2020, is back! NEW: Check out UPDATES below for details on the 2021 event.
Tower Bridge Dinner
First of all, some background on the Tower Bridge Dinner, a very exclusive affair. It is held at the conclusion of the annual Sacramento Farm to Fork Festival. The dinner takes place on (where else?) the Tower Bridge, an iconic Sacramento landmark.
White tablecloths cover long tables that span the bridge. Eight hundred diners sit down to an elegant repast of locally sourced ingredients. Celebrated, well-known chefs prepare the repast. The event is a place to see and be seen.

Tickets to the Farm to Fork Dinner are highly coveted. Festival sponsors claim the vast majority of the tickets. In 2019, the cost for two tickets was $465 plus fees. The remaining tickets, available to the public, are distributed via a lottery.
The first year the ticket lottery was offered I submitted an entry. Needless to say, I did not win. That was the first and last time I entered the lottery. Why? In short, because I discovered that only 80 tickets were made available for the lottery.
